Chlorella is a freshwater green-algae known as a ‘Superfood’ for its high levels of chlorophyll, β-carotene, abundant vitamins including B12, Folate, Iron, minerals and protein. Research has found chlorella can reduce the risk of anemia during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy plus protein wasting, and swelling during the third trimester.
